• I have an online store of computers, I sell computer parts like CPU, Motherboards…

When you visit a category (archive), let’s say CPU, I used to have a sidebar with all the filters that I added in the widgets section so for example you could have filtered i7, i5.. if you choose i5 it will filter and show only the i5 CPUs.

when I built it few years ago, it was Woocommerce version 5 and the filter was visible.

I upgraded to Woocommerce 9, the sidebar is only showing the price range filter but not the filters that I have from the widgets.

    Any idea why?

    Hello @oritzio,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Did you update WooCommerce from version 5 to the latest version?
It’s possible that the widget you were previously using has been deprecated.

Please provide a live link to your site so we can check.

Let us know which widget you’re using, and we’ll also check if there are any errors in the console.

Also, kindly provide us with your system environment information. To do this, please go to WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab and click on the button Copy site info to clipboard. You can send the information as code here or upload them to https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and get an exclusive link: https://i.postimg.cc/fbjtkFyJ/image.png (you can remove your email address from the content).

FYI: Please note that our recommendation (not just for our product) is to always test major updates on a staging site before updating your production site. This ensures that you can confidently update your production site without unexpected issues.
And based on what you’ve shared in this thread, it appears that your site hasn’t received updates in quite a while. This can result in compatibility issues because of significant changes in plugins. This is a common situation, and it’s important for you or your developer to make the necessary adjustments to your site.

In this situation, it’s better to delete the old widget and add and configure it again. This usually resolves the issue.

    I hope it helps.

Yes, I upgraded to the latest version, but if I go back to Woocommerce 5 I see all the filters.

I’m using filter by price, this seems to work because it’s visible.

Below that I’m using the filter by category, then I have in the sidebar many of those.

Filter products by AMD, Filter by products Intel, Filter by brand…
I tried already to remove one from the widgets and add it again but it didn’t show up.

I have WordPress 6.7, I’m using the classic widgets layout.

This is an example of a category page that show only the price filter and not the rest of them:

    Here is the site info:

Thanks for the help, let me know please if you see something

Meanwhile, is there any alternative or php code that I can add manually to display this filter.

    Hello @oritzio,

    Thank you for reaching out,

I fully examined the issue you have raised on this topic and could not see it on my end.

If there is a filter here, it should display the code(source of the page), but no output has been rendered. Keep in mind that these filters will only produce output if there are products with variations, for example, that can be filtered on the page you’re viewing. In your case, the system doesn’t recognize that they exist. Since you mentioned that you deleted and re-added them, it could be related to permalinks. Try saving some of the variations again.

Also, set your site’s permalink structure to PostName, then clear the cache and check again.

There is no code to restore them (though the reason for their hiding is unclear), but they are simple widgets that were added to the sidebar and can be used as blocks.

Please keep us posted on the result,
    Thank you,

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards
