Temp disable certain kinds of login

    Looking to migrate a site to a new server and wondering, is there a way to disable just certain kinds of logins? If we don’t want to put the whole site on maintenance, just prevent certain users ie subscribers, students, etc from logging in since the changes or updates they make might be lost mid-migration. Maybe a code snippet?
