I have set up a card and linked to WordPress.com dashboard and I still cannot see the buy button on any orders. Is this known issue?

    Hi @krowchuk-dressage

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you’re having trouble with the buy button not showing up on your orders.

To investigate further, can you send over a screenshot (you can use snipboard.io?to take a screenshot) or the URL of the page where the buy button should be? Also, could you check if any updates for WordPress, your theme, or plugins are pending on your dashboard?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. I see that you’ve provided a screenshot of the order details page. Just to clarify, are you unable to see the “Buy Now” button on the order details page? If so, please note that the “Buy Now” button does not appear on the order details page in WooCommerce by default. The order details page typically displays information about completed or pending orders, such as product names, quantities, and prices, but does not include the option to repurchase the items.

Let me know if I’m missing something important so that we can further investigate and help you accordingly.

    Thank you

    the documentation says…

To create a shipping label using WooCommerce Shipping we need to head into an order that needs shipped. Once in an order you’ll see a prompt at the top in the Shipping Label section that notifies you how many items in the order need shipped. Select the?Create shipping labels?button to get started

so in my woocommerce list of orders I click on the name to “head into the order” and that is where I took the screenshot from.

I don’t see anywhere else on my websites back office where I can “head into the order” or buy and print lables.

    thanks for your help

    Hi there!

Thank you for providing more informaiton about the issue. Please note that The “Create shipping label” button will show if the following is true:

    • Your store is in the United States (including Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories)
    • Your store currency is US Dollars
    • At least one product in the order “needs shipping” according to WooCommerce (typically means a non-virtual product)

If your order meets the criteria outline above and you still aren’t seeing the “Create shipping label” button, it could be a plugin conflict issue. Could you please run a conflict test and see if that resolved the issue.

    Hello krowchuk-dressage,

    Thank you for your reply.

The “Create shipping label” button should appear at the top right of the Edit order page.
I can see that your screenshot does not have this button.

To confirm, is this the first time you are setting up WooCommerce Shipping on this site?
I want to make sure this is not something that was working before and is malfunctioning now.

In your screenshot, I noticed a “Finish setup” link on the top right corner.
You have completed the WooCommerce setup process?
Could you click on the “Finish setup” and see what happens?

To help you further, I’d like to understand more about your setup.
Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status Report?
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Looking forward to your response. ??

Hi @krowchuk-dressage, can I please ask you you create a ticket at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/contact-support/ and with that create for us temporary login details to your site as per https://woocommerce.com/document/create-new-admin-account-wordpress/

I have a hunch as to what might be the problem, but will need to look into your site settings to confirm first.

    Aloha @kloon and @doublezed2

It is a bug with WooCommerce shipping.

While waiting for replies I decided on a whim to do the following:

Since I had never before tried buying shipping labels until AFTER I activated and migrated from Woocommerce Shipping and Tax to Woocommerce Shipping, I started thinking what if I deleted Woocommerce Shipping and tried to buy Labels with WooCommerce Shipping and Tax?

I was able to see the buy buttoning Woocommerce Sipping and Tax after the connection process.

Then, I migrated once more to Woocommerce Shipping and it took a couple page refreshes but finally the button showed up.

So the problem appears to be that if you have never set this connection up or never used the buy label option before migrating to Woocommerce Shipping, it would never work. ?You must have set it up in Woocommerce Shipping and Tax first before migrating.

I don’t have time to test this theory in full with other installations but I am sure your team could.

For now I can see the button and will try to buy a label later today to confirm that works

    Hello krowchuk-dressage,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand you’ve discovered that setting up and using the label-buying option in WooCommerce Shipping and Tax before migrating to WooCommerce Shipping resolves the issue, and now the button appears after refreshing.

While it’s great that this workaround helped, WooCommerce Shipping should function independently without requiring prior setup in WooCommerce Shipping and Tax.

Could you create a ticket via WooCommerce.com so we can investigate your site further and ensure everything works as expected?

    Have a great day!
