Free shipping not working

    I’m a pretty experienced Wooommerce user. But for the live of me I can’t get the shipping settings right. The configuration is super simple: We ship only to Germany. We have a shipping Zone “Germany” containing two shipping methods: DHL at 5 Euro and free shipping, if the total is more than 65 Euro. Now, everything works perfectly fine up to 100 Euro. If the total is greater than 100 Euro, shipping costs switch back to 5 Euro. You can check for yourself. Just put this item in the cart:

    5 items for 99,75 = shipping free

    6 items for 119,70 = shipping 5 Euro

    For test purposes I deactivated the other plugins and switched to Twenty24. No luck. How is this possible?

    We tested your scenario and were able to replicate. We created a GitHub issue for this and surfaced it to our team.

    Writing 65.00 in the Minimum order amount for the free shipping setting might be a temporary fix.

    Hi there!

    I can understand your concern. The screenshot you shared shows the price as 65,00, which may be causing the issue. My colleague was able to replicate the problem and identified it as a bug.

    To fix the issue, we suggest you remove the 65,00 price and replace it with 65.00, using a dot instead of a comma. This should resolve the problem.

    You can find more details in the “Actual Behavior” section of the GitHub bug report, where my colleague explains when the bug occurs and when it works as expected.

    Wow, I would never have thought that the input is not validated. Actually, I DID think of the decimal separator and tried just “65”. This was automatically converted to “65,00”. This is why I assumed a comma to be correct.

    It totally works with a decimal point. Thanks a lot.

    What is particularly weird: I’ve just checked some older orders, and it worked perfectly fine until some weeks ago. What a strange bug! ??
