Generated over 1 million cache files and downed my website.

Make yourself a favour and NEVER use it. Horrible.

    Hello @emperorzbigniew

I am sorry about the issues you experiencied with the W3 Total Cache.

Can you please share some more information about your setup, the websit and where the website is hosted, and also a website URL?
Can you please also share if you used Object Caching via Disk and if the wp-cron was disable dby any chance?

We would like to assist you with this, however, I do not see any support topics or tickets.

    Thanks!

No I can’t. I’ve waisted several hours to get this right and had my website down for a few days.
