Cannot clear comments completely

Hi,

Even after emptying wp_comments and wp_commentmeta tables, WordPress might still display old comment counts due to cached data.

To fix this:

Go to Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Tools and clear the cache if your site uses any caching plugins.

I would recommend this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/delete-all-comments-of-website/ – it takes care of the deletion for you, including all the other things you need to consider. Clearing the database tables is not always the easiest way.
