    Is it that complicated to implement or am I too dumb for this plugin?
    although there are no “intelligible” tutorials all over the internet to walk you through the process of implementing this, although to be fair, there is something on the author’s website, sadly he later engaged in very technical coding issue with other subscribers and created more confusion than really helping figure out how to use this..

    I’ve still managed to activate the plugin and add my own language, export it as .mo format after doing rescan and translating some strings, I’ve done this for two plugins, making sure of writing permissions and all.. however none of my translations successfully displayed on the page.. where did I go wrong?

    Also, how does the plugin figure out which language to choose? looking at the right sidebar you can see dozens of different languages for each plugin.. what’s the mechanism? Is there any code that I should add to header.php maybe?

    Guys, to put it in a nutshell, all I want is to translate the strings in the website.. nothing more. I want to keep the backend admin center as is.. as to everything else. Maybe it’s the just the wrong plugin for me.. IDK

    Please help.

  • Here is a description about how to use codestyling Localization plugin.

    If you have any question place a comment there. I will answer your comments.

    If I understand you right, you want WP to be english in backend but with other language in frontend. My Localization Plugin is not for this purpose, it’s just for translation and ensure you could present you favorite lang.

    If you want this difference in front and backend, then please define at your wp-config.php the frontend language as example:

    define ('WPLANG', 'de_DE');

    and use for different (choosible) backend language my other plugin “WP Native Dashboard
