So started getting fake orders – all of them are for small items. all of them have payment method as Credit cards.

There are no payments coming through. New created accounts look like they are real people with names and addresses. I use advanced paypal payment method to process the cards so the payments are not coming from there.

These order bypass minimum order plug in, no payment transaction numbers, ghost orders and yet they are marked as processing.

yes noCaptcha should resolve it, but it is another issue altogether – it doesn’t work on the checkout page, but works everywhere else.

I understand that it sounds ridiculous, but please help

    Hi there!

I can understand your concern, Card testing is on the rise globally, especially during the holiday season. Our team is currently working on some solutions to help reduce the disruption it may cause. And we also recommend reviewing the steps in our doc on?how to respond to card testing.

    Thank you

    thank you for prompt response.

what I do not understand how do these orders slip through and get marked as processing – i.e. like they are paid even though no payment came through

also I have minimum amount of the order that is working when normal orders are placed and yet these fake orders are coming thick and fast

    Hi there!

I completely understand your concern. Please note that the WooCommerce plugin itself does not directly control the payment process. Instead, it provides a framework for integrating various payment gateways. The issue you’re facing is likely related to the payment plugin you’re using. Could you please try using a different payment plugin to see if you still receive spam orders?

Additionally, I apologize for missing this earlier—could you let me know exactly which PayPal plugin you’re using on your site? If you’re using the WooCommerce Payments plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-payments/), I can confirm that the plugin developers are actively working on addressing how these fake orders are bypassing the settings.

Let me know if you have any additional details or questions!
