• Hello,

on my website wp-spezialist24.de, I sell subscriptions.
On the single product page, the paypal button is shown. I use woocommerce paypal payments plugin.
However, on the checkout page, there is only an error message when logged in, and no paypal button. When logged out, there simply is no paypal button. But the error can be seen in the javascript console.
    I narrowed down the problem:
When I create a product, and set it as subscription product (clicking the checkbox), everything is working. Including the paypal button on the checkout page.
But when setting the subscription period (at which intervall the user has to pay, 1 month) on the product page yith subscriptions section, the error shows up.
So there seems to be some sort of problem affecting the paypal checkout.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @anzgar,
What is the exact error that are you getting on the checkout page?
I suggest you test with a default WordPress theme and all plugins deactivated except WooCommerce, WooCommerce PayPal Payments and YITH WooCommerce Subscription.
If you run this test, are you still getting the same error? Let us know.

Yes, the error remains the same. Even on a fresh wp install.

As I wrote before, you can easily replicate it, it’s visible in the chrome developer console.

    In German the error is:

Beim Registrieren der Zahlungsmethode mit der ID ‘ppcp-gateway’ ist ein Fehler aufgetreten: Error: Invalid query value for disable-funding: bancontact,blik,eps,ideal,mybank,p24,trustly,multibanco,Kredit- oder Debitkarten,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,iDEAL,MyBank,Przelewy24,Venmo,Trustly,PayPal Sp?ter Bezahlen, paylater (debug id: f8526970c385e)

Can you give me an update please?

I got an answer from woocommerce paypal payments. They say that their plugin is not compatible with yith subscriptions.

I was planning to start with the free version of yoth subscriptions, and to upgrade after I got my first customers.

I guess if this isn’t working in the free version, it is not working in the paid version as well?

    Hi @anzgar,
As I wrote before, you can easily replicate it, it’s visible in the chrome developer console.
Unfortunately, I cannot replicate the issue, as the plugin works perfectly in a clean WordPress + WooCommerce + WooCommerce PayPal Payments installation. I think it could be a problem with the PayPal settings.

I was planning to start with the free version of yoth subscriptions, and to upgrade after I got my first customers.
If you are planning to upgrade, I suggest you start with the commercial version as we have advanced support and 30-day refund period. In this support forum we cannot check the issue in depth.

I can give you access to a clean installation where it does not work, as I created an test environment for this purpose.

    i could grant you acces.

And as I wrote, everything seems to be working, until you set the recurring interval. Did you set that in your clean installation?

    I got another update:

I did another clean install, activating features step by step. The error occurs once I activate the paypal vault (for the periodic payments).

This did work with the sandbox account, so maybe there is something missing in my paypal account. Although I have no clue what it is.

Alright, sandbox shows the same error sadly ??

    I have no clue.

I repeat my offer to give you access to my clean install.

would it be possible for me to look at your clean install, to see if there are any differences? That might help a lot.
The error is still the same:
Invalid query value for disable-funding: Kredit- oder Debitkarten,SEPA-Lastschrift,Bancontact,BLIK,eps,iDEAL,MyBank,Przelewy24,Venmo,Trustly,PayPal Sp?ter Bezahlen, paylater (debug id: f6727253fbf74)

    Last update for today:

I got feedback from woocommerce paypal payments plugin team. They do NOT support yith subscriptions, so they won’t be supporting. That means you are my only hope ??

    Hi @anzgar,
I got feedback from woocommerce paypal payments plugin team. They do NOT support yith subscriptions, so they won’t be supporting.
Of course, we have developed the integration for our own plugin, they are not responsible of it, it is completely normal that they don’t provide support.
Unfortunately, as explained we don’t have the tools on this free support forum to check and troubleshoot this issue.
