Free shipping issue after upgrade to PHP 8.2

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience. It sounds like you’re facing an issue where your shipping options aren’t displaying correctly after updating to PHP 8.2. Just to clarify, are you offering free shipping to all customers or only to those who spend a certain amount like above 149 euros?

First, can you check if “minimum order amount” is enabled for both versions under the shipping requirements? You can follow this guide to check: https://woocommerce.com/document/free-shipping/#section-2

Next, kindly make sure all your plugins and theme are up-to-date and compatible with PHP 8.2. Also, remember to check if any other shipping-related plugins are active and compatible with PHP 8.2. If an update is available for those plugins, updating them might solve the issue.

If everything is updated and the problem is still there, we might need to take a closer look. In this case, please provide a system status report. You can find it by going to WooCommerce → Status, selecting Get system report, and then Copy for Support. This information will help us understand the situation better and find other possible causes.

All plugins are up-to-date so far. Some are not updated because they are not compatible with the current version of WordPress. I did not update the latest version of WordPress 6.7.1 because then again they are not compatible with some plugins. I usually wait for that.

Basically the shipping method worked correctly in PHP 7.4 only after I updated it to PHP 8.2 a wrong display came up in the shipping methods.

I used this day to do a lot of testing on our staging site. After researching various things, I just couldn’t get anywhere. Running updates, disabling plugins 1 by 1, adding shipping methods again etc… Last attempt was on adjusting the amount in various prices for the free shipping conditions. I didn’t get anywhere with that either, until I changed the comma to a point! The amount was marked “€ 149,00” in this case with a comma. This I have changed to a dot € 149.00” Looks like this was the problem! After again doing a lot of testing, this appeared to be the issue. The shipping options now works normally again on PHP 8.2. How is this possible ????? Glad it’s fixed. ??
