Hi, you’ve created the great plugin. It was working for me without any problems, but:
I’ve tried to restore the webside that uses Calculated Fields Form (CFF) plugin. Unfortunatelly none of the previously created forms is restored. CFF shows only few sample forms installed together with the plugin.
It seems that the backup contains these forms data, but they are not visible / not restored properly.

In addition I noticed that the numbers of the previously created forms are “booked” in CFF list, because the new form created after restoring has the number next to all created forms. So probably CFF plugin “knows” them, but doesn’t display them.

    Any advice?

    Hello Dareko,

Thank you for using the Prime Mover plugin! We tried to reproduce the issue with the following environments:

    1. PHP 8.3
    2. WordPress 6.7.1
    3. Prime Mover 2.0.3 (latest)
    4. Calculated Fields form 5.3.13 (latest)

And we are not able to reproduce the problem. We did the following tests:

    1. In the source site – we create a calculated form (e.g., a simple form to multiply two numbers).
    2. In the test WordPress page – we added the form via a shortcode provided by CFF.
    3. We checked that it’s working in the front end of the source site.
    4. We then added another form – some default form provided by CFF (e.g., the one that adds two numbers).
    5. We also added that default form to another test WordPress page and checked that it’s working in the site’s front end.

Once all the forms were working correctly on the site – we then tried to test if it was still working after every possible migration:

    1. We created an export in the source site and migrated it to another site. The Result Forms are displayed on the front end and are working.
    2. We then export to another multisite subsite. Also, the forms are displayed and are working.
    3. We then exported it again to another multisite subsite—the same results. The forms are working and displayed.
    4. Finally, we created an export from multisite back to single-site – forms are working and displayed.

So, we don’t see any migration issues related to CFF. If the forms are not working on your end – it could be caused by a caching mechanism or some outdated data that needs refreshing (or re-saving) at the target site( after migration).

For this reason, we suggest doing post-migration troubleshooting to see if it fixes the issue. These troubleshooting guides guide you through every step after migration to refresh/clear the outdated cache and plugin settings.

Just in case the above troubleshooting steps didn’t help – we suggest the following:

    1. If you are not exporting and restoring using the latest version of the Prime Mover plugin (current version 2.0.3), please try re-creating the export using the latest version, which includes all the latest fixes.
    2. If the export and restore are already done with the latest version and the post-migration troubleshooting guide didn’t help, please provide us with the WPRIME package that you used to restore. Please upload it to Google Drive and send us the link to download it via this developer form. We will try to restore your package in our test server and check if it’s reproducible.

When you share the link to download the package, share some screenshots and tell us where we could find this issue on your site. It could be the affected URLs, so we could also check them. Thanks again, and please let me know if you still need any technical assistance.

If the above suggestions help you find the solution – please mark this issue resolved. Cheers.

    Hello Darek,
Sure you’re welcome. Also, look at these common issues of CFF forms not displaying on the front end. Usually, it pertains to cache or cross-origin resource issues (if loaded from iFrame and URLs are not updated due to cache):

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/form-cache-problem/
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/calculated-fields-form-not-visible/

But if you still haven’t figured out the issue, send us a copy of your site WPRIME package (I provided details on how to send it in my previous post), and we will try to reproduce this issue in our test server. Thanks again!

Hello, it took me some time to provide a number of tests. Unfortunatelly the result is still negative.

First off all, my the environment is the same

    1. PHP 8.3
    2. WordPress 6.7.1
    3. Prime Mover 2.0.3 (latest)
    4. Calculated Fields form 5.3.13 (latest)

Step-by-step I was deactivating all plugins, clearing caches and I was trying to restore these backups.
At the end there are only two active plugins: CFF and Prime Mover. I’ve created completely new WP installation and restored backup. The result is the same as before: there are no forms in CFF, and if I create a new form, CFF gives it the number next to the last number at the origin website – so the origin forms “exists”, but they are unavailable.
I also were changing the CFF settings, but it refers rather to the correct displaying of forms on the screen.

In few minutes I will send you the developer form with link to the package and details.
Thank you in advance for your help

Hello Darek, thanks for the package. We restored it, but there are no forms on it. However, the forms will be restored if we create a new form and migrate again. Something on your origin/source site prevents the forms from being exported, so we request the dump, as mentioned in the email reply.

You could do the following additional troubleshooting steps to see if it works:

    • Check if the CFF forms in your source site are saved correctly in the database.
    • Re-saved forms using CFF’s latest versions. This allows the plugin to save the outdated data correctly.
    • Try creating an updated export and restore.
    • Check if the forms are restored.

If the above steps still don’t work, please check out our email so you can provide us with additional data to test this issue on your site. Thanks again!

This issue has been resolved from the client’s end. The next version will add the permanent fix (Prime Mover 2.0.4). Cheers!
