• Hi, I’m impIementing a new website for a client and in the dev version I updated Elementor from 3.19.4 to 3.26.4 and have big issue with the theme. I got error “elementorFrontend.waypoint is not a function” in console and several theme features are not working because of this. Theme is up to date.
    How can I workaround this?

Please NOTE: The dev site is not live and can be visited only by changing hosts file. Ask for IP if you need it

    Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us and hope you are doing well and having a great day.

To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor). If it solves the issue reactivate them one by one to find the culprit. If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WP theme such as Twenty Nineteen and see if it makes any difference.

Also, this could happen due to our Elementor performance experiments you can try to deactivate them. To deactivate them you can go to Elementor > settings > features

Performance features currently in the experimental stage are:

    • Element Caching – Elements caching reduces loading times by serving up a copy of an element instead of rendering it fresh every time the page is loaded. When active, Elementor will determine which elements can benefit from static loading – but you can override this.
    • Inline Font Icons?– This experiment renders icons as SVGs without loading the Font-Awesome and eicons libraries. Since SVGs are vector-based images which are rendered using the browser’s engine, they do not increase server requests which improves performance

I am looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

    Kind regards,

Hi Milos and thankyou for your fast reply.

    • Changing theme makes no sense because the error is theme related
    • The current theme used to work with Elementor 3.19.4. Now there is this error and prevents some animations to work
    • I disabled all plugins except the one that belongs to the theme and that implements the animations. Still not working
    • I disabled suggested features and still not working
    • I regenereted data files and synced library. No success

I also contacted theme author. No response yet

    Hi @zazy,

Thank you for providing these details. I understand how frustrating this situation must be.

Since the theme was previously working with Elementor 3.19.4, I recommend updating your Elementor plugin to the latest version. Updates often include fixes and improvements that could resolve compatibility issues and restore functionality, such as the animations not working.

Please try updating Elementor and let me know if the issue persists. In the meantime, I suggest keeping an eye out for a response from the theme author, as they might provide additional insight or an update for the theme.

If you need help with the update or encounter any issues along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to assist.

    Best regards,
