[Plugin: Contact Form 7] Really working with Akismet?

Hi there,
I have been tinkering with Contact Form 7 all day and being memory restrained (well, my site, not me ?? ) I would like to avoid installing a CAPTCHA plugin so I am trying to use Akismet with Contact Form 7…The issue is that is does not seem to work at all.
It does let in all my “junk tests” and my Akismet stats do not show any hits.
Any idea anyone ?
