• Hello, this is a review of the PRO version.

I was enthusiastic at first. Visually beautiful, basic functionalities are easy to implement. There were a lot of bugs, but many of them have been fixed in the last 6 months. The support is friendly and helpful. Creating conditions is quite time-consuming and sometimes confusing. But you will find your way around.

I would have given 4-5 stars.

Then came the switch from vue2 to vue3.

You should assume that it takes 10-20 hours to create a complex calculator. Once you’ve started using CC, it’s unlikely that you’ll want to quit or switch to another plugin.

Since Vue3, the performance has been extremely bad. It can happen that you wait 10-20 seconds for CC to load with complex conditions on older computers or mobiles. This used to be a maximum of 5 seconds with the same calculator. Support is making an effort, but the issue of performance seems to be at the bottom of the priority list.

Conclusion. CC is a good plugin for small, uncomplicated calculators with only a few conditions. CC is not recommended if the calculator becomes more complex. I continue to hope that Stylemixthemes will address the problem. Then 4-5 stars would be possible again. At the moment, with “my calculator” 2 stars is friendly.

EDIT: DO NOT put CC on your main home page. Search engines will throw you out of their index due to an apocalyptic “First Contentful Paint” ??

    Hello @holle75 ,

Thank you for your detailed review and for sharing your experience with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and are glad that you’ve found our support helpful.

We completely understand your concerns regarding the performance after switching to Vue3, and I want to assure you that we are actively working on optimizing the plugin’s speed. Improving performance is one of our top priorities for 2025, and we have already started making improvements to this aspect.

Regarding the switch from Vue2 to Vue3, I’d like to clarify that the calculator is still primarily built on Vue2, with only a few specific components using Vue3. Rest assured, we are also focusing on optimizing these components to ensure better performance across the board.

We greatly value your continued use of our plugin. Your support means a lot to us, and we aim to provide a faster, smoother experience for all our users.

If you have any further questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hi Julia, great! It seems part of the problem are those components that are now implemented from vue3. Or whatever else stylemixthemes changed during “the switch”. Nevertheless a complex calculator with a lot of conditions (“a lot of conditions” is happening very quick due to the condition principles CC is providing) is not usable on mobiles and older desktops anymore.

Yes, please keep on finding the problem. I′m very open to change the rating of this review. But people need to be aware.

I′m also very open to let you check “my calculator” again for optimization (if possible). There are around 40 closed tickets in your support system where you can contact me. I am gladly sending over the calculator again.

    best regards

Yes, we recieved your request and the calculator, and currently we are working on the optimization of the Cost Calculator Builder. We are testing your calculator too.

For any new update we recommend checking our changelog – https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/cost-calculator-builder/changelog-1/changelog
