  • Have you updated your WordPress to 6.7.1? Then some of the plugins you use are probably not compatible with this version, as some of the language file handling has been optimized. Check which WordPress version you are using and where Spanish texts are no longer visible. I suspect that this will allow you to narrow down the problem to individual plugins. Contact their support for a solution.

However, if your entire WordPress backend is in English, more information about your project would be needed. First, look under Tools > Site Health to see if there are any anomalies listed there.

    Yes, I have WP 6.7.1
All was working fine until today that spanish is missing in all WP desktop. I mean all texts from all menus are in english now although spanish is selected.

I have looked at site health and I have some messages in “recommended”, the same I had before…

    Hello Raúl,

does your hosting have Imunify360? If so, check its interface to see if it has flagged the Spanish translation files as malware.

To restore everything to Spanish, you would only need to reinstall WordPress directly from WordPress itself, and everything will be back in Spanish.

However, it is very likely that Imunify360 will flag it as malicious again and delete it. We have reported it to Imunify to address the issue.

Yes, I figured that was the issue. It’s up to Imunify to make the next move.

    Thanks for the update.

    Pa eso estamos Raúl ??

    Saludos

I had the same problem on at least 20 sites. I was very worried that it was a real infection. Should we just wait for now? Innmunify marks them again as an infection and in some cases changes the language of the site again. Thank you for always being attentive and willing to help.

It would be a good idea to wait for Imunify360 to apply the fix and restore the affected files as they’ve mentioned. In the meantime, keep monitoring the sites for any unexpected changes or further issues. If Imunify continues to flag files after the fix, you can review the flagged files manually or escalate the issue with their support team to ensure it’s fully resolved.

They have solved the issue. My WP Panel is working fine as it shoulds. Spanish comes back to city lol
Ya se ha resuelto el problema en mi panel sin hacer ni reinstalar nada. Parece ser que han resuelto el asunto y han restaurado la carpeta de espa?ol.

    Thanks. Gracias
