Hi, does the plugin support creating playlists by simply pointing to a local folder, or folders, containing MP3 files? Also, does it support a sticky player mode?

    Hi @pavlos7

Some features might be found in the PRO version https://www.cssigniter.com/plugins/audioigniter/
Currently these are not possible with the free one.

    Hi Pavlos,

it’s not possible to automatically create playlists by pointing to a specific folder. You’ll need to provide the URL for each track. Batch inserting is only supported for files imported via the WordPress’s media library, and it’s a Pro-only feature.

Regarding the sticky player, the Pro version supports a fixed position player (the one you see on the footer on the demo: https://www.cssigniter.com/demos/audioigniter/ ). There are however some caveats:

    • You can only have one fixed player across your site. It appears on every page.
    • It does not provide uninterupted playback. Visiting other pages will stop the player. Uninterupted playback cannot be implemented by players themselves; the theme must refresh everything around the player, except from the player.
    • Auto-play is not supported. Most modern browsers detect and mute auto-playing sounds anyway.

You can have the player remember its last position however, so your site’s visitor can simply click on the play button and continue where they left off.

Since these forums are about the Free version of AudioIgniter, please get it touch with us via our website’s contact form for any questions regarding Pro functionality.

@markwaregr, @anastis thanks a lot for the response. Indeed, to get an uninterrupted player an ajax approach/website must be used. Keep up the good work.

    Eyxaristo,
