Breaks Shipping Charges when Stripe Tax is activated

    Issue Identified: With Stripe Tax plugin activated, shipping is calculated and in a line item but not passed through Payment Gateway (Stripe Payment Gateway identified, but not sure if specific)

    Stripe Tax Plugin Version: 1.1.6

    WordPress Version: 6.7.1

    WooCommerce Version: 9.6.0

    After recent update we noticed that although shipping is being calculated and display properly and even shows as a line item, when a customer pays (through Stripe payment gateways) it actually does not charge the customer for the displayed shipping. After the switching themes, and deactivating all plugins and reactivating one by one the issue was caused by Stripe Tax. I don’t know if this is a one off for us only but we switched from TaxJar to Stripe Tax a few months ago as a Tax calculation alternative and since our primary e-commerce processor was Stripe it made sense for us. But it caused all sorts of issues for us today. Oddly enough when the order is sent through the Paypal Classic Gateway (logging into paypal to complete the order and then being sent back to the website) it actually charges properly for the shipping.

    Current Solution: Deactivating Stripe Tax specifically allow for the shipping to be passed through and charged properly.
