Is it possible to set this plugin so that wp-login and wp-admin indicate 403? I can’t do it in htaccess because I create some kind of redirection loop error.

WPS Hide login sends to 404, but when I change it to 403, it’s still 404. I’m being attacked by bots and I can’t handle it. 404 doesn’t help.

    Please help.

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

Bots should not find wp-admin and login pages with WPS Hide Login. Is there any link to them on your WordPress ? Did you deactivate xml-rpc ?

Hallo. Thans for Your answer. Somehow they found it. I had the wp-login.php file bombarded for several days. Then it stopped. There was a moment of peace and now they started again, but this time attacked is the xmlrpc.php. This file is globally blocked on the server and it responds with access denied.

That’s several connections per second. Also, the plugin probably won’t solve the problem. I tried to block the wp-login file in .htaccess, but mod_rewrit from WordPress always causes redirection loops – if wp-login.php is unavailable.
