Hello! I’m loving this plugin and appreciate Octolize for creating it. However, I’m having issues with international shipping. I have installed the plugin and connected it to USPS, but when I enter an international address it says, “No shipping available for that address.” What have I done wrong? Can you please help me correct this?

    Thank you!

    Hi @jthairst ,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I’ll be happy to help.

Let’s start with the simplest check to see if a particular shipment is possible. Please go to the USPS calculator https://postcalc.usps.com/, log in to the same account as you use in the plugin, enter the sending address, receiving address, exactly the same dimensions of the package and see if the international services show up. If they show up, and in your store they don’t, the reason for this could be:

    • Shipping zone configured incorrectly.
    • Shipping options or services not configured correctly in the plugin settings.

    Please verify these potential issues.

If you have verified all of the above information, and it still appears that there are no shipping options available, to begin more advanced troubleshooting, please enable the Debug Mode for the USPS plugin. This will help identify any specific messages that may appear at checkout.

Once you have enabled Debug Mode, please provide the following information:
    – A screenshot of your USPS Live Rates Shipping Method configuration
    – A screenshot of your USPS Live Rates settings
Debug Mode logs for USPS (request and response)

Regarding the Debug mode, it is visible only to the administrator of your store and should display information along with any errors explaining why the rates are not showing. If debug mode does not pop up the first time, please modify your shopping cart, e.g., by changing the address or adding another item. Sometimes debug mode needs to trigger an action.

Looking forward to your response. We are here to help you.

Hello! I checked everything and had someone else check it too. Does this plugin only work for United States shipping? We absolutely cannot get it to display rates to ship out of the country. Thanks for your help!

    Hi @jthairst ,

    Thank you for your message.

The USPS is not developed to operate only within the United States.
I have now tested in my test environment shipping to Poland, for example, and everything works fine:

In an earlier message, I asked you to follow a few steps. Please let me know about their results:

    1. Being logged in, do you see USPS international services on the calculator https://postcalc.usps.com/?
    2. Is international shipping possible on your USPS account? Do you have such services enabled? Please check this with USPS support.
    3. Could you send screenshots of your USPS settings?
    4. Could you send screenshots of your USPS shipping method settings?
    5. Could you send debug mode logs so I can analyze them?

Thank you for cooperating. Looking forward to your reply.

    Kind Regards,

Thank you! Here’s what I found out:

    1. International Services are available. I entered an address from Germany and it calculated various rates.
    2. I believe international shipping is enabled on my USPS account. Yes.
    3. I’ve placed the screenshots in a Google Drive Folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1O2JFjIRwubuHz30GY8TDoAeLBv1qjV62?usp=sharing
    4. Thank you again, and thank you for your patience with me!

Thank you for the material you sent, I appreciate it.

The reason for the lack of international rates is your “Sub type”. Change it as a test to “none” and the rates should appear to you.

Looking forward to your response. We are here to help you.

I LOVE YOU! Thank you so much! I now have international rates! One last inquiry: can you share me where in the documentation for this plugin I may have overlooked where that was explained? I have a habit of not taking my time to ready through the instructions and just trying things based on instinct.

    Thank you!

I’m thrilled that everything’s working perfectly for you and that you’re enjoying the international rates!

Regarding your question about the documentation: honestly, we haven’t described this feature as thoroughly as we should have.

Here we have something about services: Services

Your comment has highlighted this gap, and I’ll definitely pass your feedback on to the right person so that we can improve the documentation.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards,
