Payment Button for PayPal deactivated after update

Yesterday (Feb 8), I found the Payment Button for PayPal plugin deactivated on my website (was updated the previous day). All plugins are set for auto-update. This is the second time I find WP PayPal deactivated. The last time I noticed it was on January 26, and the plugin was updated earlier in the month.

Is it a known problem that the automatic update of the WP PayPal plugin would deactivate it? If not, what could be causing this deactivation?
