1st – you killed me with all the ads about upgrading to the pro version

2nd – getting the place id of a business is not this easy especially when has not address so you should change the way you access a business profile

3rd – as soon as I put the place id, a message informed that you fetched only 10 reviews and then asked to upgrade once more

4th – the steps to set the plugin are very messy. Very very messy. It seems an old plugin.

5th – nothing is straightforward, uninstalled. I’m not sure why WPbeginners even mentions you.

    Hey @mark8181,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations and that the ads for the Pro version, challenges with finding a business’s place ID, review limitations, and the setup process contributed to a frustrating experience. Your input is truly valuable and is being carefully considered as we work to improve our plugin, with the goal of making it more intuitive and user-friendly. As an example, we have recently implemented the ability to get a service area’s reviews which was not previously possible, and are working to provide an easier way to also set these up. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further details to share.

    Best regards,
    The Smash Balloon Team

Thank you for the reply. I also wanted to understand more on how the showcasing of TrustPilot reviews works.

It’s clear that TrustPilot allows to showcase their reviews only upon payment of the monthly fee of $250. However, your plugin allows to do that with the $99 one year subscription. Is this braking TrustPilot ‘s TOS or is studied to NOT brake their TOS?

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Hey @mark8181,

Thank you for the follow-up question. The reviews shown on Trustpilot are publicly available on the internet. We just provide a tool that shows the content in a nicely formatted way. We can’t speak to the terms of service for any company but our own. Hopefully that helps!
