The only thing this plugin is missing
-
Seriously this is the PERFECT thing to add to your plugin:
It took me some time to realize the premise of this plugin, is that it’s basically intended to be the primary way customers navigate your woocommerce store. This explains why if I use my navigation to go into products/bicycle tires, the filter still displays brands, colors, sizes, tags etc. that have nothing to do with the product category I am currently viewing. And that’s the issue. That’s what’s missing. It only needs a check box “Limit filtering options to products in current category and subcategories” (which means filter by category only displays subcategories of currently viewed category). So when I’m viewing “bicycle tires” it doesn’t list brands of pedals, saddles, handlebars, or colors that none of the bicycle tires have. It should only display attributes, tags, etc. that match the currently viewed category and subcategories.
The way it’s currently implemented, I need to make separate filters for each product category, separate templates for each product category, separate attributes for each category (tire sizes, handlebar sizes, saddle sizes, wheel sizes). And if I want to use it as a main navigation, all those tags and attributes result in a HUGE filter.
