V5 took away important features

  • A simple user interface is a great thing but not if it restricts the application. A lot of the settings that v4 had are now not available anymore ( or at least not obvious to find). Why do I need a helper plugin for zip files when it worked without that before?

    Thank you for sharing your concerns about the changes in the user interface and how they may have impacted your experience with the plugin. Our intention with simplifying the UI was to enhance usability, but we recognize that it shouldn’t come at the cost of functionality.

    Regarding the zip file format, we have some good news: the option to select your preferred backup file format will be added back into the UI this week.

    Additionally, we’re working on removing the two-job limit so you can create and edit as many backup jobs as needed, including their scheduling options, similar to the previous version’s functionality.

    In the meantime, if the current version isn’t meeting your needs, you can roll back to version 4.1.7 from here.
