Cant Create New Sites!!!

    Wow, this is driving me absolutely crazy…

    I built a site in MU and created a default template.

    It was working fine and I could clone the template using the “new template” plugin. But suddenly, it stopped working (I tried to create a site that already existed).

    After this, I could no longer create new sites from the super admin panel.

    If I try to create a site with the template, it gives me this error:

    Deletion Error: Table doesn’t exist – The template was not applied. (New Blog Templates – While removing auto-generated settings)

    If I try to create a site without a template, it says site created fine.But when I go to view the site, it brings me back to the site page: wp-admin/ms-sites.php

    When I click on backend of the site, it brings me to the root wp-admin.

    If I try to access the subdomain from the browser it gives me: “Error establishing a database connection”

    So yeah, thast kind of annoying…

    Now what is REALLY driving me crazy is that I left that site to build a new clone that I would dump back over later.

    I built a new site insomnianow.org

    Did the same thing but without trying to duplicate the template site. So I created a new subdomain fresh, worked fine. Did all the config for it. Backed it up so I would have a ‘clean’ install. But it did it again!!!!!!!!

    Completely new install, completely new domain n everything and this time it happened before I could even clone one site.

    Anyone know whats going on? Havent been able to find any solution anywhere…

  • It’s your host and/or the plugin.

    Anything that “suddenly” stops working means something changed somewhere. Maybe you didn’t change it or you can’t see it, but something did.

    Remove the plugin completely.

    try creating a new site. (what format? Subdomains or subfolders?)

    thx fixed. was a plugin I had to disable on the oot.
