Can’t add Facebook Group manually

    I am trying to add my Facebook Group Manually using the Facebook Group ID and my Client Token.

    I am getting the following error: “There was a problem connecting this account. Please make sure your access token and ID are correct.”

    I can’t add the Group Manually it doesn’t show up when I connect my Facebook Account and I am also a Administrator of the Facebook group.

    Hi @dsflconsult,

    Thank you for contacting us! Unfortunately, Facebook has removed support for Groups from their API, so it is now only possible to create feeds for Facebook Pages. Since this is a limitation directly in the API, we do not have a way to work around this.

    Thank you for your answer and that is a big blunder from Facebooks side. Do you know any workaround of how I could how their group on a website? It would be a really big hassle for them to move everything over from a group to a page

    Hi @dsflconsult,

    Facebook has changed their content sharing policy so that posts can only be shared off-platform only by whoever published them, so the Groups API was no longer useful for them. We use the official Facebook API which requires strict adhesion to this policy and so we cannot provide any workarounds.

    Other plugins that do not use the official Facebook API may have access to Group feeds. However, we cannot vouch for their quality or safety.
