    Hi @prommy

The language switcher is not meant for the front-end, only backend.
It’s meant as a testing tool to see whether all your labels from the admin interface (and possibly frontend) are created and working.

This is not a translation plugin, not does it do anything with any translation plugin out there.
These plugins have their own language switchers and filters ??

    Thanks for your quick response!

What i expected – i know that translatepress is frontend, but the issue with “view admin as” is related to an language issue. ?? but its the only translatation tool i use.. its probably a core issue.

    thanks!

    Hi @prommy

View Admin As does not handle languages/translations at all. The switch option within this plugin is to (temporarily) change the locale setting of the current view. It behaves similar to when you go to your profile and switch your interface locale preference.
This setting does not affect the actual content you see on the page anywhere in WordPress. That is for translation plugin to provide ??
I know Polylang and WPML have their own language switchers in the admin toolbar which do affect the content query. Doesn’t Translatepress have a similar option?

    Cheers! Jory

EDIT: Btw, thanks for making me aware of this confusing label. I will change “Languages” to “Locales” in the next update to make it more clear.
