• Despite setting the button to only show on “Post type” “is equal to” “[custom post type]”, it continues to show on ALL pages. Filtering doesn’t work.

It’s an Anchor Link, if that matters.

    Hi @shelfgamer,

Sorry for the late response, and thank you for your patience! ??

We have noted the issue regarding the button displaying on all pages despite the filtering settings, especially when using an Anchor Link.

We wanted to check—are you still experiencing this issue? Let us know, and we’d be happy to assist further.

    Looking forward to your response.

Thanks for the response! I’m keeping the plugin disabled until it’s fixed. However, I just re-enabled it to check and yes I’m still experiencing the issue.

However, the issue might be different than I first described. It actually seems that the rule doesn’t save when I click Save. If I set the rule such that “Post Type is equal to [custom post type]” and then click Save and then refresh the page, the rule isn’t there anymore.

    Hi @shelfgamer,

Thank you for your patience! Based on your report, it looks like the issue might be caused by the rule not being saved correctly. Here’s a workaround you can try:

    1. Remove all conditions from Location Rules.
    2. Click Save and then refresh the page.
    3. Add a new rule: “Post Type is equal to [custom post type]”.
    4. Add an additional AND condition to ensure the rule is properly saved.
    5. Click Save again and check if the issue persists.

We’re also working on an update to ensure that the conditions have a default value to prevent this issue in the future. Let us know if this solution helps or if you need further assistance!

    Best,
    Kina

    Hi Kina,

Unfortunately I can’t do that as it causes my site to crash with a fatal error. Please see the other bug I reported: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-when-setting-button-rules/

Seems the rule won’t save without the AND/OR condition, so I’ll wait for the next plugin update and try again. Hopefully it will be fixed then.
