Previous and next links show unwanted category

    Hello.

    Athemes addon allows me to add categories in the query, but when I expand a post the “next” and “previous” links open posts with categories that shouldn’t be listed.

    I have two categories: “news” and “documents”. In the list of posts on the News page the posts with that category appear correctly, but when I open a post page on the News page, the previous and next links open posts from both categories: “news” and “documents”.

    I need previous and next to open only posts from the indicated category.

    On the News page, the previous and next links should open only posts with the category “news”. And the links on the Documents page should open only posts from the category “documents”.

    I would appreciate any solution.

    Hello,

    Just to confirm, the previous and next posts links on your single post views are not handled by the plugin. These links are handled by your theme and show previous/next posts that are chronologically before or after your respective post.

    Talk to your theme developer about this but you would need to write some custom code involving get_previous_post and get_next_post.

    I edited the theme’s functions.php file. It works fine, but I’m not sure if that edit will be retained when updating the theme. I need to contact the theme developer to resolve this issue.
