Tag editor not working properly with the Genesis framework

  • I have 4 sites using the Genesis framework and Contact Form 7, and on all of them, when I click one of the tag buttons, the tag editor opens in a popup with a dark overlay, but another copy of it opens just below the form.

    Then, when I click the “close” button, only the dark overlay disappears, leaving both tag editor elements on the page – one fixed and one scrolling with the page. Why could this be happening?

    To be clear, the CF7 tag editor behaves correctly on non-Genesis sites, and this has nothing to do with any CF7 addon, or even Genesis-specific plugins. Just the parent theme.
