I updated last week (Thursday 3-20-2025) and ended up with the site disabled by end of the day. Cron jobs spawned by the thousands while The Events Calendar is enabled. I’ve gone through disabling all plugins updated the same day and then disabled everything I could and re-enabling it. It continues no matter what. I am using it on another site and it works fine. I can’t seem to trace what is spawning that Cron job repeatedly.

    Hi @danlalonde01 ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Out of curiosity, have you disabled (or tried disabling) WP-Cron and switched to Real CRON with your WebHost (see How to Disable WP-Cron and Set up a Real Cron Job) to see if that alleviates the situation?

it took near 3 days for an initial response. It is under that for me and already closing?

I am working on testing turning off WP-Cron. this site does far more than just the calendar.
