After update, images no longer resize to fit screen width

I recently upgraded to 3.0.4 from 2.7 something, I think.

I’m using a fluid width theme and in my previous posts uploaded photos automatically re-sized with the center column width. Now they stay the size at which they were uploaded, while everything else in the center column remains fluid.
