Did you change the URLs via the wp multi domain mapping tool or something?

No, I hardly had to do anything is was all taken care of by my very helpful webhost namecheap, they also sorted out another WP problem that I had where the pages looked completely unformatted and broken. They pointed to a technical bulletin which said I had to add another couple of lines to my wp-config file, and that worked fine.

Are you actually using the multisite feature in WordPress?

This section of the forum is not for multiple installations.

Hi Andrea, probably not as I don’t know what it is. Not really sure as to what section I should be in? If there is somewhere else I should be posting this maybe you can point me in the right direction, any help will be much appreciated.

    Moving this to Troubleshooting.

The blog at https://peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere.me/ think it’s installed on https://peteprzyszlak.com/

    I’d suggest reviewing Changing_The_Site_URL.

Already done that so if I type in https://peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere.me/
It takes me to the site but I can’t edit or post because when I type in
    https://peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere.me/wp-admin
It returns in the address bar – https://peteprzyszlak.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https://peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere.me/wp-admin/&reauth=1
If I then type in any combination of possible user names and passwords, it either re-draws the screen with no error or says invalid user name or reverts back to my main WP blog. Before I changed the domain name I could log in with my original user name and password but now I don’t even get the opportunity to change the password.

    Change the domain name back.

Not sure what you mean? the whole operation was to bring my two blogs under one main domain name of peteprzyszlak.com I have not actually changed any names, merely moved them under a new umbrella i.e. peteprzyszlak.com/guitartisan.co.uk and peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere.me
Guitartisan works without any problem with logging in but I have been unable so far to log in to getmeoutofhere.me in order to post, edit or in fact change anything.

You’ve changed the site urls on one of your blogs to peteprzyszlak.com. You need to revert it back to it’s original urls.

Sorry but I am not quite sure I understand, do you mean in the wp-config file?
I have not changed any names, I have, as far as I know, created a new domain with both my blogs as add on domains one of which I can access without any problem and the other one I can not!
If as you say I should revert back to the original URLS, which I must admit I am not sure how to do, does this mean I would then have a newly created domain with nothing in it?

You changed the site url(s) from Getmeoutofhere.me to peteprzyszlak.com. You need to change it to peteprzyszlak.com/getmeoutofhere – assuming that this is where the site is actually installed.

Sorry to appear thick but I’m still not sure what you mean, to change a name does this mean I have to go through all the name registration and stuff or just change it somewhere by typing it in? If I look at the directory structure on my server, I have two subdirectories/folders in the public_html directory one for each domain name. Is this where I would change it?

No – you just need to change the urls stored by WordPress. See Changing_The_Site_URL

    Hi esmi,
You probably missed it as I posted it on another thread before I was moved to here but I have already done that in as much that both my blogs are working and accessible – they were not before I added the extra define lines in wp_config. I think the issue I have is that maybe because I have tried to access “getmeoutofhere.me” admin account so many times with either the wrong user name or password combination that I am now locked out! I will try and re-set the name and password through phpMyAdmin as indicated by the link you sent when I can log in to cpanel at my webhost server.
Incidentally this is exactly where I am with help from my webhost.
