where did my images go?

  • My images seem to disappear after a few days(I don’t know exactly how long, but it’s happened to both images I posted on my pages. I’ve only just started WP & don’t really know how to drive it yet.). When I go into Edit there’s just an empty outline box, which I can delete & re-insert the image, but that’s no good, I want it there permanently. Can’t think what I am doing wrong? Any help much appreciated(in the simplest terms possible, I don’t know how to write code or anything like that).

    Thanks for responding Esmi.
    Click on the add image icon in Edit, browse media files & upload from my PC using the browser uploader – Insert into post

    All seems fine & straight forward… and then the image disappears from the post sometime later. It looks like it’s been deactivated somehow
    I can’t understand it.

    I have posted another image on a Draft page today, which looks fine. Did quite a bit of editing/resizing etc. no problem. Just waiting to see if the same thing happens or if it’s just after publishing. Don’t know what else to do.

    Have you checked to see if the images are still in your wp-content/uploads folder?

    Yes they are, if you mean Media library

    Running Firefox 3.6.13
