• When I create a new page (i.e. Menu), a weird gray background appears behind my header image and my nav menu disappears. I don’t understand why this page doesn’t appear just like my other pages/ home page. The footer is also displaying differently. What am I doing wrong?

  • can you post a link to your site to illustrate the issue?

    When you click on the Menu tab, you’ll see that only that page is displaying differently than the others. I haven’t been able to figure out what’s causing this issue.

    Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

    I am getting 404 on pages have you tried to reset your permalinks

    The About Us tab takes you to a page that displays correctly- I haven’t created content for the other pages yet, which is why you’re getting 404 on the others. Why is the Menu page not displaying correctly?

    Is there some option I’ve accidentally activated in the Pages panel that would cause a new page to look different than the home page or other pages previously created?

    Again, the Home page and the About Us page seem to be fine, but when I click on the Menu tab, the Menu page displays completely differently- I lose the nav menu at the top right and you’ll notice gray blocking appearing around the logo at the top left. Additionally, the footer appears differently.

    It seems like this could be caused by a template option under the pages panel, but I’ve messed w/ different options and the outcome remains more or less the same.

    I don’t understand why this is happening.

    I have now been able to successfully create pages for all of my tabs EXCEPT for the menu page. Why is it that all of my other pages will display correctly, but not the menu page?

    Please help

    some code is creating a body class with the page slug as the css class name;
    for instance .about-us, which is fine:
    <body class="custom about-us">.

    trouble is that .menu is already a well used css class with many properties, which should actually only be applied to the menu,
    (see here:
    <div class="menu-the-lunchbox-container"><ul id="menu-the-lunchbox" class="menu"> )
    but with your new page will also be applied to the body of your site.

    two possibilities:

    a – find the code that generates the body class, and change it to create a class .page-menu, .page-about-us, etc basically adding a page- before all the classes.

    b – change the css class of the menu, and the css in style.css;
