Links in Blogs not 'active'

    I have a new blog site on WP, until yesterday, and now today, I have been able to write the blog and place links within it (e.g. https://www.bonjovi.com ) and they would be ‘active’- little hand appears and you click and go. I figured out how to set it so they open in a new window, great, no problem. OK, now when I write a blog, i try to put the link in and it does not activate. no color, no little hand, just looks like regular content.
    Links in Blogs previously written are all fine and active. I just cannot seem to place new ones in new blogs.
    Suggestions?

    I don’t see a problem off hand. Can you link to a post with the problem?

    You’re putting the https:// in the link address this including?

    Thanks for looking in to this, I figured out the step I was leaving out- having to highlight the segment that I wished to place the link under. For some reason, in the first few days of posting I did not have to do this. Now I do.
    Problem solved for the time being. thnx
