You mean you have a wordpress.com account and you want to redirect it to your own domain?

No, I have a https://www.misc.com, and i want IT to point TO my wordpress site that I installed.
I want https://www.chathamcc.com to point to: https://chathamcc.mainstreetchatham.com/

I know forwarding will accomplish this, but should I also change the (MX?) records to point? Does it matter?

Do you want to redirect or domain mask? That is, do you want your site to show up like https://www.chathamcc.com or do you want visitors to be redirected to https://chathamcc.mainstreetchatham.com/ ?
