Nav bar giving 404 error – Not sure of fix

    I recently tried to install a new theme and for some reason it over wrote some files and now my navigation bar isn’t working. I’m lost at what to do. I’ve thought about reinstalling the old theme but not sure if that will work or not. Some advice to what to do would greatly be appreciated.

  • Do the pages that your navbar links to still exist, or did these get somehow deleted when you changed themes?

    Assuming that the pages themselves are still there, you could try resetting your permalinks – change these back to the default, save, then change them back to your custom settings and save again.

    If your new theme uses custom menus, you may also need to re-create the navbar menu.
