wp Time Machine was working with few hiccups.

Like, I had to run the backup twice before it would create the backup files in Dropbox.

Now it confirms that the files were backed up to Dropbox but the Dropbox folder itself is empty. This is my logfile…

  • I wish I could get this to work as well. I’m trying to figure out why it’s not with some users as the author is pretty quiet. I have a full log of a blog where it works successfully…this is the output of what it SHOULD look like if it’s complete. You can see your log isn’t complete.

I can’t get it to finish on my main blog either. It gets stuff around the data-files.sql part…and there’s no telling what is stopping it. I can’t be much help, but we can try to ping the author some more to continue figuring this out.

I had to paste my log back to pastebin.com

I can’t read yours either. The forum admin has removed it.

Hmmmmm… We can post the log file URL straight away…

not working for me either, i get

Your archives are ready, they took about 0 seconds to create; and are in your Dropbox account

    but my dropbox is empty

    WP Version 3.0.4
    wp Time Machine, version: 1.9.16

    I’m in the same situation.

    WP 3.0.4
    WP Time Machine 1.9.16

I typed my Dropbox account info and “generated wp Time Machine archive”, but nothing happened in my Dropbox folder.

Someone, please tell me how to figure it out.

    Hi Guys,

    I switched to BackWPup

You can backup your files as well as the Database into 3 different file hosting services including Dropbox. I tested it in my blog (www.virtualpreacher.org) and it works perfectly well…

The interface is little confusing though. Let me know if you have any questions about it’s usage.

However it seems that many users complain that it doesn’t backup the complete database. This is not much of a problem because I am using WP-DBManager to backup the database.
