Webpage help

I’m looking to make my own website where anyone can just post their own stories/pictures etc. really easily which can then be rated or shared. Maybe even with a personal account system.
I’ve been recommended that WordPress can allow me to do this easily?

Are there any specific plugins/themes or ways of doing this on WordPress anyone can advise me on?
