How to use featured image in post extract but not in post itself?

    I am working with the weaver 2010 Template and I’m wondering if it is possible to only add the featured image in the blog summary and not in the blog post itself? Alternative would be to have the picture uploaded in both places but then much smaller. If I work with featured image now, it is very big in the the full post and I can’t adjust it. Appreciate your help!
