• Hi

I’m new to WordPress and so I just trying to get it running. I have followed the guide but I still can’t get it right. The register php. isn’t working even though I check the web host, it has all the requirements. I’m using 000webhost.com. My website is up but I can’t use word press ??

  • Can you give a link to your website so we can take a look?

I’m not familiar with 000webhost.com’s user control panel, do they have Fantastico, Quickinstall, or anything like that?

What error does register.php give you? If you’re trying to login to your WordPress admin it is located at yourdomain.com/wp-admin (then you just need to type in your username and password).

Hi zybrite. Thanks for your reply but it suddenly started working, it seems to be that if I remove the directory it doesn’t work which is annoying but atleast I can get a website up and I’m working on getting it up without directory.

    Hi Kaizee,

I’m in exactly the same situation as you – not really sure what I’m doing and I’m also using webhost000. Could you give me a brief step by step of what you did?

There is a good video on youtube by techzonelive. It is 000webhost.com specific. It is however slighly outdated so on top of that, you’ll have to go to file manager -> public html-> wordpress-> config_sample.php and fill in the database details and salt thingies ( you can find this on worpress’ intallation guide.

Thanks for the help! But, I did all that but still no luck…it keeps sending me back to the 000webhost homepage – https://error404.000webhost.com/?. Seems that I’m not the only one to experience this judging by the recent comments on the youtube page.

How long did you have to wait before it sorted itself out?

Hmmm is your domain connected to the host yet? And I forgot to tell you to rename your config-sample.php to config.php. You do this through file manager.

I’m pretty sure it is. I think I’m going to restart from scratch (again), including downloading a new wordpress file to upload. Maybe with all my messing around doing it wrong I made more problems for myself.

It took me around 15 tries to get mine up ?? just persist with it good luck.
