I WANT TO DISABLE MY Akismet PLUGIN how ?

  • i aded Akismet plugin to my wordpress blog. i am lossed my Akismet login details with some reasons. i want to remove Akismet plugin from my site. how is it please tell me. is there any other alternative way to remove Akismet pugin.

  • You can either do it from the plugins page by de-activating and then deleting it

    or

    you can delete the askimet folder from the plugins directory on your server via FTP

    Hmmm.

    OK there are several ways to disable a plugin, only one of which is via the plugins page.

    Can you FTP to the site, navigate to wp-content/plugins/ directory and delete the akismet directory? That would sort that issue out.

    To figure out why you have lost access to the plugins page, you would have to deactivate all plugins, and change to the twenty ten theme to see if it fixes it, and then go from there.
