could you be more specific? it works for most people, and in the cases it doesn’t it’s fixable ??

    Hi Marcus,

Thanks for coming back on this so soon.

For starters I have WP 3.0.4 and BP 1.2.7 installed. After I installed “Login with Ajax” plugin, reloaded my site and didn’t notice any change with forms. I tested scenarios like:
    – wrong password / password recovery. I still saw WP standard form
    – Login itself, no preloader bar, which would indicate that plugin was used

Possible reasons, why plugin didn’t work – maybe because BP is coarsing a problem?..

I also tested plugin on WP 3.0.3 with BP 1.2.6 on localhost (XAMPP) – same story…

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Myra

could it be that you’re not adding the login with ajax widget? sounds like you have a login form already installed on your theme (e.g. the bp default theme), which is not what lwa replaces it adds it’s own form.

The BP login form is a little different. You can use the built in one to keep everyone on the front end of your site, or just some PHP coding. But LWA is better on non-BP sites ??

I use EM on bp sites no problem. e.g. https://wp-events-plugin.com

the bp one is just a built in login form, hard-coded into the template if I’m not mistaken?

lwa offers an ajax ready login widget similar to the one on the default bp already but with ajax.

If your theme comes with a login form that you can’t disable in the admin area, you’d have to remove it by modifying your template file html/php.

    Thanks Marcus!

    Hi Marcus,
same problem for me: installed the plugin, used the widget on WP 3.0.4

Ajax is not working, neither redirect nor registration etc.. if I make a login it sends me to the wp admin panel, if I click on the register button it sends me to the standard wp page

hi axel000, sounds like your theme or a plugin is conflicting

and it also ignore every setting made via admin panel like different template solutions..

have you any idea to solve that issue or how to identify what is conflicting?

try switching to the 2010 theme, and disabling other plugins, narrow down the culprit. it should definitely work with 2010 and no plugins.

no plugins intalled and no widget.. I use Ajax for other functions, could it be that the problem?

probably js conflicts/errors are the most common thing
