Can't access admin interface

I can log in, but when I click “Administration” link I get kicked back to the login screen, after which I can’t log in again until I completely reset Safari cache+ options. (Same in Firefox.)
Re-uploaded ../wp-admin and ../wp-includes subdirs, no effect.
URL is redirecting as follows:
login URL (www.mydomain.com/mysite/wp redirects to
https://www.mydomain.com/mysite/wp/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mydomain.com%2Fmysite%2Fwp%2F&reauth=1Have used WP as CMS for years, have never had this problem. Any ideas???
