Old redirection plugins

I have this plugin installed:

It duplicates the functionality of Feedburner Feedsmith, which I also use, so that feature is unnecessary. Does anyone know if its other functions are still useful? It seems like this other plugin does all the same things and more:

https://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/

but I don’t know if Scott Yang’s plugin has some automatic background process that makes it worth keeping around.
