Need to change background color of item on home page

On the home page, there is a video player/playlist. You’ll notice to the left and right of it, there is a white background. The whole area where the video code is inserted was a slider function (slider.php). I need to change the color of the background in the slider to the same orange that is around it.
It worked one time before I plugged in the video code but hasn’t worked since. I even disabled the video code to try and change the color first to no avail.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I’m about to pull my hair out over this one. Thanks.
