css problem on post excerpts

Try adding clear;both; to:

.post-excerpt {
    background:transparent;
    height: 100%;
}

in style.css.

that worked (thank you) but now the background doesn’t wrap around the featured image just the text

Try adding:

.post-excerpt:after {
    content: ".";
    display: block;
    height: 0;
    clear: both;
    visibility: hidden;
}

tried that but it didn’t work. It’s the damnedest thing

try and correct @esmi’s suggestion to:

.post-excerpt li:after {
    content: ".";
    display: block;
    height: 0;
    clear: both;
    visibility: hidden;
}

that li tag is missing an ul tag:

thank you both alchymyth and esmi – it now works. I’ll try to find the missing tag as well. Why is this necessary now when it worked ok before – is that due to the missing tag error?
