• Upgraded this morning and discovered several issues:

-Shortcode changes resulted in all of my existing RP pages being rendered useless. I had to dig through the support forums to discover the new shortcodes, it was not readily available info.

-I had one parent page for my RP pages, and three children. That taxonomy was destroyed. The only available “parent” pages to assign were the actual recipe names. This held true for ALL of my pages, even those unrelated to RP on my site. Furthermore, even from the parent pages, when I clicked on the actual recipe, they 404’d out! I had to disable RP completely in order to restore normalcy.

-I also found that all of the settings (which were not necessarily easy to decipher when I initially installed this plugin anyway) had been cleared. Digging on the RP support forum, I discovered that this is not unusual post-upgrade.

-The support forums also suggested that it might be necessary to copy the PHP script for submitting recipes into my theme folder to get things to work properly.

Seems to me that quite a bit of this could have been handled better. I do not consider this plugin upgrade ready for prime time. If a good fix is released, I may consider re-enabling this plugin, but for now, it will remain disabled so as to keep my site functional. Very disappointed in this release.
