Filepaths not resolving after domain change

Moved some html pages to another site but kept blog on old site. In testing linked to blog using IP address/client/blog/ which was how the host had the path set up. When we changed the domain name to point to where the html pages reside none of the style sheets (located on same level as blog index page) nor images (located in a site wide directory) resolved.
What would be the best way to handle this, create a subdomain for the blog and copy the images file under the /blog/ directory?
I am sorry I cannot provide you with the version number, the client has not yet responded with the request for the wp-admin and now the host has changed the credentials (fun!) so cannot access database at moment.
