theme author hacked/hijacked my site???
-
I recently installed the Interior Design theme on my site. I did some tweaking on it but left the footer intact, as the theme author requested. I tried to visit my site this morning (rockymountainmosaics.com) and the following message popped up on the screen – “All the links in the footer should remain intact. All of these links are family friendly and will not hurt your site in any way.” The site is not accessible.
I tried to log into wp-admin with a password that has been saved in my browser and it said my password was incorrect. I looked it up and plugged it in and it said it was incorrect. I tried to retrieve my password via email and it said my email was incorrect. The last visitor to my site used an anonymous proxy.
I don’t know for sure if the creator of the Interior Design theme is to blame, but it sure looks that way to me. What is dumb is that once this is fixed I will NEVER be using any themes by him or her again, should they be to blame. I suppose it is possible that I changed the footer because I’ve changed alot, but I really don’t think I did.
In any event, what can I do to fix this?
